Digitale Bibliotheek der Nederlandse Letteren (DBNL)
The Digital Library for Dutch Literature (Dutch: Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letteren or DBNL) is a foundation offering a web-site with many digital literary resources.
The DBNL is an initiative by the DBNL foundation that was founded in 1999 by the Society of Dutch Literature (Dutch: Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde). Building of the DNBL site was made possible by donations, among others, from the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research (Dutch: Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) and the Nederlandse Taalunie.
CLARIN-NL wants to make sure that data from organizations such as DBNL are available to humanities researchers in the CLARIN infrastructure and in a CLARIN-compliant manner. For this reason, a special type of centre has been defined, a CLARIN Data Provider, and the organizations mentioned have been invited to make a proposal to become such a CLARIN Data Provider.
